Ten days ago I realized that unless I did something drastic to work ahead in my classes and professional commitments, I would probably fail out of school this quarter and be in a world of hurt. So I grabbed some coffee, pumped some techno, and drafted "Ted's Epic 10-day Plan" to get all my schoolwork for the entire quarter done by the end of the month, finish my Bachelor's Thesis, and a whole bunch of other stuff that I'd normally be totally unable to do in such a short time period. Sitting down and writing this plan was very motivating for me.
10 days later, I've gotten about 40 percent of what I set out to achieve done. But that is a whole lot more than I would have achieved if I hadn't written the plan. And I'm confident I'll still pass my classes this quarter, where I wasn't 10 days ago.
Shoot for the moon, land on the clouds...or whatever. Life is a series of sprints, not a marathon.
