I've spent a large chunk of this past year in Chile researching a really cool government program there, called Start-Up Chile. I produced an 80-page thesis about the program, which I turned in to receive my degree from the University of Chicago. The most important findings and impressions are condensed in a 3-page "case commentary" in the most recent issue of Innovations, an awesome academic journal published by MIT Press.

Big thanks goes out to the Kauffman Foundation and Lesa Mitchell, who trusted me enough to send me down for my first round of research as an intern. Second big thanks to the University of Chicago for funding my larger research project. Third big thanks to Horacio Melo and the Start-Up Chile team for hosting me during my two research stays. Final big thanks to Philip Auerswald, author of The Coming Prosperity, for inviting me to contribute a case commentary to this important publication.
